Wouldn't it be great if you could train one of these to go into the muck after your wounded hog? I bet the trick is getting him to drop it at your feet once he's gotten hold of it.

OT - Hog Retrieval
... I love poetry, long walks on the beach, and poking dead things with a stick.

Gives a different view on the old saying " I'm taking my Hog and going home!"

Might be easier to train the hog to jump up in the truck before you shoot it.

Whats so hard about that?Might be easier to train the hog to jump up in the truck before you shoot it.
Just put a bucket of slops and a girl hog on the back of the truck and stand back for the rush.
I think you could have some minor problems training that little lizard as a hog retreiver.
So the simple solution is,
wait fot him to catch the hog and then shoot him and get two animals for the price of one bullet.

Re: OT - Hog Retrieval
If I could train one to retrieve hogs I think I would call it Kitty. When in the company of the many Crackers around here that hunt hogs with dogs, I'd probably be fine until I dropped the tailgate and called for Kitty to fetch. I'd probably have to remind Kitty to not nip at the nice young fellows' dogs. Here Kitty Kitty.

Looks like Kitty lost part of her tail in a previous hog hunt
30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres
