MOVIES - "Fireproof"

Post by Andrew »

We went as a church today to watch the movie "Fireproof" at the theatre. It was really awesome to say the least. You don't know how much trash you see in the movies until you watch something of this caliber. They shed light on more than a few things that we do to our marriages that most don't even know they do or that they even do harm. If you are married, been married, or plan on getting married then I highly recommend watching this movie if you can. I came away with a lot from this thing that I didn't know I would. Very uplifting and inspiring for both me and my Wife.

Again, I say you should give this movie a chance if you can.

I've seen the trailers. Can't wait to get a copy of the DVD. Need to get "Facing The Giants" and "Flywheel" as well. All by the same production company. :D

My wife and I saw it about a month ago, and we sure enjoyed it! It's one that every couple should see.

Sometimes it's easy to forget that the best thing you ever had is laying right next to you. Never hurt anyone to get a good tune up, and make some changes at home that really count. I wish this movie could be bought now on DVD.

Thanks for the links. Just heard the film maker on local FM radio. Good post.

They've got two other films out - different subject matter, just as good. "Facing The Giants" I have seen. "Flywheel" is one I've only seen trailers for. I hope to pick up all three next summer. They are worth having. Sure are a lot different from the Hollywood junk. :) They will never win an Oscar, but that is not the true measure of a good film.

We saw it last week. Was good, but a bit painful to see some similarities in the main character and myself. It is worth seeing, but be prepared to be a bit uncomfortable.

Well, this ain't a movie, but it's a manual for getting along with the rest of the human race - including your wife:

Book

There's a reason it's sold 15 million copies. Also, since it was first published in 1937, it has an old-fashioned charm that is lacking in modern reading.
