Thank you... I just happen to think that after the 1851 Navy, the SAA is the best lookin' and handlin' sidearm ever produced. I like the convenience of the 1911 for "carry" purposes... but have never felt undergunned when carryin' a SAA. That'n of yours is right purty also... but then, the same could be said for any Colt SAA.

Pitchy, those four shots would stop any man or varmit that walks. That would be my everyday carry gun.If you need more brass let me know. My old Charter Arms .44 special got away from me two years, I loaned it to a "friend" in Oklahoma and some how it just disapeared from his home or what ever. Just one lie after the other, anyway enough of that. If you need some I'll be glad to send them. I carried that .44 nearly everyday.

Considering that was off hand it was a pretty nice group, i just loaded a couple using 232 GRAIN CAST OVER 6 1/2 grains of Uniuqe.
Shot of hand at 20 yards and put them spot on , i`m happy.

A person in this thread offered me some brass but i haven`t heard from him, i pm`ed and emailed with no reply hope he is ok.
If that falls through i`ll take ya up on a few cases, thanks Jerry. 8)

Don't bother trimming those Mag cases. Just gimme your address as I have a bunch of 44 Specials that I'll never use. Be happy to send them to you.
Oh, and shoot it. I have several old Colts and shoot all of them. Even have a pair of engraved 2nd gens that I have shot SASS matches with.

Got a nice gift from MR. Wright today, thank you sir. 8)

Pitchy, remember where that brass came from. Here's hopin' we have many more years of Jerry and M.M. Wright, but one never knows. TXPete sent me a bunch of 7mmRemMag brass that he'd acquired and didn't need anymore... every time I look at the boxed ammo I loaded, I think of Pete with much fondness... not just for his gift, but also for the stories he shared with us on this forum and the contributions he made. There will probably be someone along someday with as much heart and willingness to share knowledge... but they'll never be Pete, (RIP ol' friend). Gone, but not forgotten.

Glad you got them the bullets are 240 grain hardcast and shot great from my .44. I used # 7 1/2 or 8 shot for the capsules, my Speer #10 manual says 6.7 grains of Unique that's what I used and they shot good.Killed a 6 foot black snake in my hen house one day, it sure did mess up his head.
I used 6.0 grains of Unique under those bullets real accurate from my 4 inch Charter Target Bulldog, you will probably use more in your Colt. Enjoy it my friend.
