Yup! Gimme gimme. I missed out on the 86.
I do have an 1887. It's not the best, but the only decent one I've ever seen here.

GK...those Hitler rants are the funniest thing to hit the air waves since air waves started getting hit. :D There's a whole slew of them...must be fifty.......the one I posted on "baked beans" is one of the best as it is written he had a big problem with being over gassed......did you hear when he said, "we are going to gas ourselves." :D

Well, being retired is great...I have the time to look up things like "dogs riding on the hood of a truck".

Who won? I had an 1887 ....and early one.....every time I pulled the trigger I winced thinking my hand was going to come off. There's not much meat on a shotgun like there is on a rifle and never felt confident shooting it.....bye...bye....

I remember when some foreign company came out with one and I must have seen several dozen at cowboy matches....not one of them was reliable......j.u.n.k.......j.u.n.k......but people kept buying them......like Rossi's.....j.u.n.k.

If snoopers don't like what I write then go back to the dark side...and stay there.....------006 :D

We used to spend the summer at my grandmothers out in Woodfords CA. Her house was about 500 yrds from state highway 88. There was a truck driver, he hauled logs. Anyhow this guy had a huge male black lab that rode in the passenger seat when the truck was going from the mill back to get another load. But on the way to the mill that dog was on top of the logs on that trailer! Ears flopping in the breeze at 55mph! Dog on a hood don't hold a candle to that Labrador!

Well there's a surprise! The homeowner we are working for gave each of us a $50 gift card for Cabelas! Now what can I get for 50 bucks?

Sadly Gunny, not much.
Nothing against their thoughtfulness, nor the amount of the gift.
It's a sad commentary on where this country is that 50 bucks buys nothing now.

I still do that. Look at a dollar amount and go, Wow! But when you really think about it, its nothing.

My buddy bought a new truck. We get an employee discount through work and he got 2600 bucks off. At first, it sounds good. But when you really think about it, it ain't that much.

Perfect buddy!

Good for you. I do that stuff too. I bought a knife from Cabelas this past summer that I normally would never have bought.
I had a gift card from one of the kids and a bunch of points. Waited till a free shipping deal, and then I could finally justify it. :D

What? $50 don't buy nuttin'? Well let me tell you what $91 buys......a big bag of cat food, 2 big bags of non clumping cat litter, 2 boxes of clumping cat litter. (I mix them)

See how fast the world is changing? "They" knew this long ago as that's why they have been trying to take our guns under all sorts of stupid reasons.....from what I hear, our gun rights are solidified for quite some time.......at least here in the U.S.....

I just saw this on "Ultimate Weapons"....6 shot revolver for 40mm grenades.......

I found out a dirty, very dirty little secret today.........remember when I could not sign on to "Sixgun" and had to use "Jay Bird" for like 6 months?

I was told by the authorities that it was a glitch, whatever, and was told to "try this" or "try that"....I went and tried everything, spent hours trying to figure it out.....

Well, I found out I was BANNED and it was kept a secret by those who make the rules. Then last month I was banned for reasons that I most likely deserved and then I was let back on like they were doing me a favor, second chance, whatever.

I don't like secrets and I don't like being deceived.

I quit until further notice.

Just what I need! :D

Hey OS,
I'm sure that's the plan for us all.
The ones that are able, will provide slave labor to keep the special people living in a style their accustomed to.
Once we are too old to work, we will be ushered to the "camps" for "retirement", put on starvation rations until our health deteriorates enough to justify the state mandated euthanasia.
And why not......? It's all happened before. :D

Six, getting banned or reprimanded is something I have always considered a badge of honour for a real Rebel. It has happened to me on other forums because I didn't follow "the rules" I even got caned regularly at school just to prove I was no goody goody.... I only behave on Leverguns because I respect you guys and your knowledge plus the rules are easy to follow.

OS I hadn't seen that about ownership of stuff in the UK but I know I was happy when I worked to have a new company car every three years with no repair bills. Of course there was no talk of not owning another vehicle if I so wanted or I would not have accepted the company car.

OW, power corrupts nearly every time, I have seen it in all forms from the top to the lowest little creep given the authority to tell you to keep off the grass.... like I said I have always been rebellious by nature, so rules I don't agree with I ignore. In a previous post I stated that I was a stickler for following rules, I hoped that you would realise that was sarcasm...

I wouldn't spend $1.91 on for cat food, let alone litter! I hate cats, always have. Guess a lot of that is because I'm allergic to cats. Besides cat people tend to be stuck up, nose in the air, arrogant better then thou morons.

Six you are doing exactly what THEY want! Not the way a rebel ( as GK would say) should act. Stick around and keep putting burr's under their saddles.

Gunny will never get a liking for Cats........he has too much Labrador blood in his veins.... my mom always had Cats as well as a Dog so I grew up with them but I would not have one as a pet or a Mouser now.
As a teenager we had a white Cat that followed me like a gundog if I was carrying my air rifle , when I shot a Starling it would run in and steal it..

We had a calico that did that with me! It was a stray that followed me home from school in 2nd grade. I was married when it finally died.
If I grabbed my pellet gun, it was right there. Knew a free meal was on its way. If I shot, it would run to where the pellet impacted. People didn't believe it till I demonstrated.

I'd put a Jack Russell up against the worlds best house cat, guaranteed the Jack will have a higher body count at the end of the day! Not only that but at the end of the day the Jack will be happy to see you!

Yes John I've probably got 1/2 human DNA & 1/2 K9!!
Very few breeds im not fond of.
Years ago I was down at the marina we fished out of and a woman was walking her Commodore, as I passed her I said thats a very nice Commodore. She stopped in her tracks and said I can't believe you know what breed this is! Nobody knows this breed. I said I'm half dog and I know breeds pretty well. Haven't seen one since.

Jack Russell terriers are not only great on vermin destruction they don't do what Cats do by bringing in half dead critters and letting them go indoors...

Ive had a cat around all my life. Ive never once had one release live prey in the house. Now granted, the dooryard has been littered with carcasses, but whatever.
I certainly am a dog guy, and don't doubt the JRT's hunting abilities, but aren't they one of the more hyper active breeds? That, I don't care for. A lazy cat is less noise and trouble. :D
I prefer dogs like that too. Guess that says something about ole Jay. :D

Hey! You dudes have too much fun....good ole Six toad me to take over for awhile. He toad me dat the writing is on da wall and dos in power are gones to take big hit! (He also wants me to train better on my ebonics and wants me to get my hair done in corn rows and dreadlocks)

I'd like to see any dog fool with Figueroa. ..((my little grand niece named him) .....he's a semi feral cat that visits here often...you can't get near him but he can get near our food....dis cat must weigh 20 pounds and when the foxes are eating the foxes move when Figueroa moves up to the plate.

Six toad me he has it allllll under control....the powers here are controlled by Nancy Pelosi and Woody....

Cats have a use.....said this before .....never saw a mouse in the house in 46 years come Feb.

GK said it right.....being banned is a badge of honor like being fired at work. I was only fired once that lasted six months but an arbitrator ruled in my favor......with back pay and full benefits....reprimanded? They had to have a separate filing cabinet just for me.....they finally gave up on me in my last five years because they knew I was outta there in due time....and I'm still making them pay......I make the same take home money that I did while I was working....

The trick is NEVER to need anyone and you can do what you want to do. I kiss no A.....and take no prisioners.--

Yes JRTs are hard wired and spring loaded BUT if they have a job, like digging holes, chasing everything with 4 legs, then they are quite mellow. I remember coming home from work one day and Tramp my JRT was laying on the front steps in the cool of a hot humid summer day surrounded by dead chipmunks, mice, voles. Must have been 15 or 18 dead critters. Talk about a happy doG ! He did that every day of his life( unless there was too much snow) , 14years before he went over the rainbow bridge. I want 3, Larry, Moe & Curley( Shemp sucks and Curley Joe a little light in the loafers) and I bet they would bring home a bear!

That '86 is the nicest condition ..not the rarest....1886 I have.....it's a 5.5 gun.....come up with 4.5....has a $500 sight on it.

I'm really aggravated right now.....mom wants to clean out the attic that has 46 years worth of s in there.....about 95% of it needs to go in the trash...

Up the stairs, sort, throw down, walk down, carry out to the burn pit....this is b.s.

Ya know, what is it with women? They are the most wasteful creatures in the world.......I found bags of NEW towels still with the tag on them,....a half case of Dial bar soap....Cabbage Patch dolls still new in the wrapper..about 10 of them..huh?....radio controlled trucks still NIB.....?....huh?.....

Clothes that were 40 years old and older...burned them all......FIVE NEW winter horse blankets that she replaced from other ones that went bad and never used em...they cost a couple of hundred apiece..........suit cases...5...burned em....a new water bed with drawers....burned most of it.....

Then I found something that I did 46 years ago and forgot about it......a secret area about 4' long and 4' high by 3' wide.....with a floor board and a gun rack to hold a dozen guns! .....but no guns......

How about this one....about 75 Playboy magazines from 1955 to about 1962.....M.M. is in one of them but not the centerfold.

I only dented the mess......

Yes like The Terminator says those dolls are probably 500 bucks EACH !

You could probably sell those blankets , the magazines too.
I dread ever having to clean this place, too much stuff that don't go bang :D .

More rain= more mud. I'm tired of mud this winter! My childhood home away from home, Lake Tahoe area, has had feet of snow this past week, all I'm asking for is cold enough to freeze hard and 6-8" of snow here. Ah well ya can't have everything.

I also do not like that "worthless feeling"....something of value has to be accomplished everyday.......

Take today for an example.....I should be up in that freezing attic but I decided that scrubbing out stains in my underwear would be more worthy..

Gunny. .....tell you what......on the dolls.....come get em for nuttin......but you may have to pass mom first and she's a farm girl....no sissy .....I've had the rolling pin treatment a few times.....

I like all this quoting...good ole Six toad me to do it because he likes loot..Jay Bird don't care too much...

I TOAD you dis and I TOAD you dat......ant dis be's da list time I toad yo...THIS AINT NO MUSEUM ....BRING LOOT.....

Funny thing, when I was younger and buying and someone toad me that there was this guy selling antique guns for 20% off....(about what I reap from the auctions) I'd be over there with the mortgage.......and when you can do better than 20% like I do with my buds I'd bring the title to my vehicles....(but my titles only add up to maybe 3K) ....

One time I came home from an auction with 11 guns...ALL GOOD STUFF......many times I'd come home with a half dozen....

So.....BRING DA LOOT!!! Gotta go and get da mail...been a couple of weeks..

What happened to everyone?

Loot? I tell ya man, I'd have to leave a truckload down there for all the stuff I'd like to have.
I will say...I will definitely be buying something. Probably not as much as I'd like.....but something.
The stuff you've shown me in the last week is definitely on my short list.

Jay.....the way I sell stuff ...ONLY to my buds......you can get your money back easily the next day...all other pay going rate......for most stuff...single action Colts and high dollar Winchesters are always in demand so they go at top dollar........I may relent on one or two...I gave Tom very fair' deals and that's why he keeps coming back....BTW, what happened to Tom?

With each purchase I give away 5 Rossi's along with a book on proper etiquette when in the company of like Winchester and Colt professionals...rule #1.....NEVER mention Rossi's ....you will be ostracized . #2 NEVER mention Italian guns....you will disemboweled from crotch to throat with a dull deer antlers....and so on...

I tell ya.....burning the wood stove open along with a full belly of creamed chipped beef and a pair of dogs next to ya and even a pair of cats on the back of the couch with mom reading Facebook and not bothering me with Jeremiah Johnson on the 65" screen beats about anything.......

At school my first semester I lived in the dorm and every Friday night we watched Jeremiah Johnson. One of my best buds knows the movie line for line and can recite the movie from anywhere you choose to give him a line.

Well I had yesterday afternoon off so I decided to go over to the club and take my muzzle loader for a walk. It was more of a recon mission as we have had a forestry mower working on cutting back the hedge rows and I anted to look for deer traffic. Well the guy was still cutting so I went walk about and found very few tracks. So I decided to lean against a blowdown for a while. Sure enough a big doe & her fawns and a dry doe alkyd out and fed into bow range. I had the hammer back at one point but didn't pull the trigger. They knew I was there but didn't know what I was thanks to my HECS suit. Anyone that hunts should try this stuff, I'm amazed every time I get out in the woods. Www.hecsllc.com . And NO I don't get paid for advertising it. Just check the site and watch the videos to decide for yourself.

Well Jay when yo decide to go see Jay Bird I'll meet ya there and we'll have a grand time eatin beans and talking guns!
