HAPPY SEPTEMBER
It's Opening Day of Dove Season here in Texas. From all the shooting about daylight it sounded like quite a few are out for them. I always enjoy the sound of gunfire when it's not coming my direction.

Heard at least 100 shots on my 7-8 a.m. walk this morning in south Sweetwater near the country club.

I heard sporadic fusillades on my morning walk. September 1st snuck up on me this year, I didn't even buy a dove stamp.

I'm sure happy it's September! Deer bow season opens this Saturday 9/7 runs consecutive thru ?a weekend of mid Jan? I'm not much a bowhunter but it's legal opportunity time in woods, and especially late Sept on, finest time ever be out!
