Asking the conglomerate of smarter and more experienced men than me here, what happened to Frank? He cast some custom bullets for me almost 2 decades ago I think. They were an unusual 360 grain .452 diameter bullet (not exactly sure of the mold dimensions, I think they were slightly higher at .454) for Danial Marchel. Daniel, was an unusual individual who created the 454 "Long" many years before the invention of the 460 Smith and Wesson. Near as I can tell, this super-heavy weight 360 Keith style bullet was actually designed by Frank himself. And Daniel gave permission for anyone to use the mold, and Frank would cast them.
I'm trying to resurrect this bullet by the way as I still have some of them.
I spoke to Frank more than once many years ago. He knew Mic McPherson pretty well. He tried to talk McPherson out of doing a deal with someone of poor reputation and thought he had done so. I am not sure of the latter fact, because it was a very long time ago. If I had to describe Frank in my limited dealings with him, he was a "straight shooter", to the possible point that I could see, maybe, how some might say he was difficult to deal with, but I actually liked him quite a bit. I have missed him for many years, and when I have done searches about him, I come up pretty dry.
I believe he was involved with Big Horn Armory for a time. I do not know what happened but I have strong reason to think that did not work out.
I would just say, I liked him a lot. Not just the two large boxes of bullets he made for me, it was more about his character and how he lived.
Also, if anyone, for some really further obscure reason, has ever heard of Daniel Marchel, a "wild catter" or have information about him, please advise.
I still treasure these 2 boxes of bullets, and the two men who allowed me to have them.
I dug up some dirt on Daniel from many years ago. SHOT 2004:

And of course, to the legendary, in my mind, Frank himself:

If you have information on Frank or Daniel, let them know I remember them both fondly and send them my way.
Humbly,
-Tutt

You might be able to send a few bullets to Tom at Accurate moulds and he should be able to duplicate it in one of his great moulds.

Yep, that is definitely the plan of sorts. I'm going to send some of the bullets to have them "digitized" by a friend, then send the specs to Tom. However, I would like to know what happened to Fred if he is still around somewhere. Thanks for the response, I appreciate it. -Tutt

Frank is in Cody but I don't believe he hasn't done any casting for a while now. I saw him maybe four months ago, maybe it was a bit longer.
He is not at Big Horn Armory.
I will try to get his contact information through some friends that see him more often than I do.
