This has been a fascinating thread over at Castboolits.com. I'd already considered making my own black after reading Capt. Brett Gibbons's "Like Fire and Powder" and watching the Hoffman Reproductions Youtubes on the subject. This "Golden Powder" is faster, simpler and safer to make.
