Lol  I was expecting the worst

Like when I see a otherwise nice lever gun then look at the backside of a buttstock and someone has artistically carved a woodland scene into it

Which is not bad if the price reflects it but typically these artists think that commands a $200 premium over what the gun is actually worth.

The fella that posted it had a Walker replica that was made fully functional and useful by this gentleman.

I believe he stays pretty busy.

He also experiments with some cartridge conversions, mainly for his own use in the experiment sense, though I think he also does some quality conversions for customers. Hes been using 45 ACP +P level loads in some of his conversion guns to see how they hold up over time, so far so good, they havent been loosening up.

Isnt it amazing how many people post without reading the thread?

Goon has done three guns for me and I have two more being done presently. They have come back smoother than a 1960s S&W. One of the guns I had him do was my Tom Ball accurized R&S and as any skirmisher knows a Ball rework was the pinnacle of competition guns while Tom was alive (still are). I did not make that decision lightly. The cylinder of the Walker he did for me with its shallow oval lock notches stops like a Corvette meeting a concrete wall at 200mph and locks up tighter that that proverbial bank vault no matter how fast and hard I cock it. I have 30 C&B revolvers and a couple of SAAs that I wish I could afford to send to him. My only complaint would be he is to busy which is a good sign and has a fairly long waiting period.

Hawkeye2, Thanks for the info. I was wondering if he worked on Rogers & Spencer's.
