Will she give up HER armed bodyguards...?
She needs IMPEACHED.

"She needs IMPEACHED."
Whatever happened to the verb "to be"? This form of speech is akin to such thigs as the execrable habit of starting every sentence with, "So, -- ...", but worse. It's not even a sentence....
And I object to the term Prostitute. Prostitute is an honorable profession, completely unlike Governor...

Re: A Prostitute in New Mexico
The local sheriff has stated that he has sworn to uphold the constitution, making it doubtful that any action by his department will be taken. The Albuquerque Police Department and the NM State Police have echoed his statements. Our illustrious guv admitted from the outset that she doubts the bad guys will leave their guns at home and that her "mandate" was intended mostly to raise awareness of gun violence issues.
Several people have stated that the guv is under considerable pressure from her out of state political supporters to make some sort of move to show efforts to combat gun violence. The whole show is meaningless in practical terms.

Re: A Prostitute in New Mexico
Today, Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham signed an executive order to ban open and concealed carry of firearms in Albuquerque and Bernalillo Counties as part of her declared public health emergency for gun violence in New Mexico.
According to the Governor, she will reevaluate and renew her public health order every 30 days. The order is for all of New Mexico, but only Albuquerque currently meets the requirements of 1,000 violent crimes per 100,000 people and more than 90 firearm-related emergency department visits for the ban to apply.
The Governor's order violates gun rights within the New Mexico Constitution and the Concealed Handgun Carry Act of 2003, which guarantees the concealed handgun rights of New Mexicans who qualify for and obtain a permit.
The Governor admitted she knew her order is unconstitutional, stating she wasn't sure she would win a legal challenge against it.
"She knew her order was illegal but did it anyway, just like the lawbreakers in our state. Criminals won't be affected by more laws since they don't follow our laws now nor are they held responsible for breaking any of them," said Republican Party of New Mexico Chairman Steve Pearce.
"This order removes protection from law-abiding New Mexican gun owners, leaving them and their families vulnerable in a city with the highest violent crime. How does that make sense?
Dangerous criminals won't be affected by the Governor's order and will continue to prey on vulnerable targets. Those who will be affected are the many responsible, gun-carrying women and mothers who will be left defenseless and unable to protect themselves and their children.
The Governor has let violent criminals out of prison. She weakened our police. She and the Democratic legislature allowed softer penalties for violent crime while stopping tough crime bills from passing. We have an open border where fentanyl and deadly drugs pour onto our streets and a mental health crisis exacerbated by the Governor's lockdowns.
This violent crime crisis is most prominent in blue cities nationwide, like Albuquerque, directly resulting from weak Democratic policy. Instead of reversing her failed approach, the Governor strips the rights of responsible gun-owning New Mexicans.
Her order puts citizens in a dangerous situation and is outright illegal. We expect to see the Governor's order challenged and defeated in court."

This is the latest tactic to nullify the constitution and SC. And it will most likely work.
If it takes a month, a year, or whatever, how many life's will be destroyed? Lost jobs, homes, families. After the dust settles, the destroyed victim gets to "go free" with no restitution of what he has lost.
And the perpetrator? Well, nothing happens.
People will comply from fear of the gestapo. The court isn't going to "save" them.
It's no different than what the ATF is doing with all their "rules". Between the anti gun governors and ATF, the courts will be inundated, slowing and choking them further. Giving more fuel to the ones doing it.
Far fetched?
Well obviously those in elected and bureaucratic positions don't fear or respect the rule of law or constitution.

Re: A Prostitute in New Mexico
A shy, rather socially inept middle aged bachelor was elected to the bench in gallup. Of progressive philosophies/politics, he tried to find common ground with the accused who stood before him. One lissome high-yellow negress of approximately octoroon pedigree from back east was brought-up to be arraigned for lewd solicitation and he said, "what an exquisite complexion !" Then he asked, "are you a navajo ? To which she replied, "no, I'm an atlanta 'ho. "

Good one!
Re: A Prostitute in New Mexico
The Lujan's are New Mexico's own little version of politico-criminal ala the Bidens. Not surprising either, all Dems get their marching orders from the same place.

Re: A Prostitute in New Mexico
Well, our fine governor held a news conference this morning rescinding the "temporary" ban on open and concealed carry in Albuquerque and the county surrounding it. She surely must have some sort of Napoleon complex to defiantly declare that she is above both the US and also the NM Constitutions. She got herself in trouble previously during COVID because her "Emergency Health" decrees put hundreds of small businesses belly up. She was photographed sneaking in the back doors of nail salons and hair dressers during the shutdowns despite her own executive orders. Also, audits discovered that she had used taxpayer money to buy large amounts of booze and gourmet foods for parties that she hosted at the governor's mansion. As Sleepy Joe, she has built a solid wall of like-minded associates around her to protect herself from opposition.
