Ahhhhh, piggies!
This link popped up in a discussion of the variances in feral hog conformation in one of the Texas hunting forums. I don't know what it is -- maybe the fact that 99 percent of my DNA is British Isles? -- but I am always utterly charmed by Englishmen talking about domestic heritage breeds. What a grand name, Gloucestershire Old Spot!

Sorry. Fixed. Copied the link from Doc's Wood Milk post and learned once again that I am no multitasker!
Ray, thanks for that link. My father would start laughing at the mere mention of Wodehouse.

If only England was still a bit more like the England P G Wodehouse wrote about....
Being a Midlander the Tamworth pigs are one of my favourite pig breeds.

When it was announced that kermit the frog had died of swine flu, a spokesman for miss piggie said that she had no comment on how he (kermit) could have contracted it.....

Love it Ray!
Does it strike anyone else that Hillary Clinton and Miss Piggy have a very strong likeness?

The porcine actress who portrayed the "empress of blandings" in the 2012 b.b.c. miniseries.....
I see some resemblance with the former first lady turned candidate.....

Re: Ahhhhh, piggies!
No resemblance. The Empress is much better dressed.
Re: Ahhhhh, piggies!
According to whiffle in his most excellent tome re. swineherding, to render a pig as round as it can possibly be without bursting open requires a daily intake of 57,800 calories consisting of 4 pounds five ounces of proteins and 25 pounds of carbohydrates.
It doesn't take much imagination to see the former secretary of state with her snout in the trough at a soul food or cantonese buffet trying to keep-up with the empress.....
