OR TO MAKE SURE OLD WIN WALKS AWAY WITH ANY…….this guy has a well worn buffalo coat for a reason. The pockets are titanium lined for wear. Rocks sell for big money in Maine……

Ahhh GK’s minimal excuses…what’s 3K miles and then another 2K to reach Harry’s?……just think of all the fun we could have…..drinking, eating, shooting Harry’s guns, driving around in his toys, storing stuff in his massive warehouse, bringing in gals from Helena….(don’t know about that one…if they are the same from Maine or upstate Pa, we will need that fancy metal table GK has….——

That couch is full of cooties.

I watched Hcksaw Ridge for the fifth time and I noticed something funny…..on the second charge up the net and the fighting was bad with people all, over the place, getting shot, shooting, etc. and there’s this one soldier running and clear as day he was carrying an m-1 Garand STOCK…..no metal.:D

Hey! What’s with this “Windy” cat? I was ready to get in on the action but the thread got locked…..what was the reason for that?

I was gonna write a manifesto on “Windy is gone with the wind” or “Windy is like a F in a windstorm” . Man! You moderators take all the fun out of it.

Oh never mind….this cat is old and probably has dementia and most likely will be institutionalized soon anyway.

Na….Jay……leopards never change their spots, they just learn to hide them better………not much makes me more happy than to “beat the system”…..if that’s what it is…..

Yea GK…….that scene where the guy is carrying a wooden stock is after the second time they all climb up, waiting for Private Doss to pray before ascending the net…..it’s right in the middle of the screen, ya can’t miss it. I saw it because I’m always more interested in the guns than what’s going on………last night on the Lone Ranger an old timer had a Spencer rifle……..

Well, history in the making in NYC……good ole Donald Trump is sure making them pay……can you imagine how much it costs to have half the city blocked off for Trumps entourage……and security, not to mention all of the discomfort for the blue businesses. Ha! I love it….

Go Donald!!!!!————00 and sometimes 6

Well this happened today. I hated to spend the cash, but we really needed a tractor. And one that will get around in the woods. It's a 95 JD 770. Has a thousand hours on it. Not a lot for the age. Looks like it has been well cared for. Id say the previous owner used it in the woods too.

My dad is like a 10 year old kid over it. Honestly, that had quite a bit to do with me getting it. I wanted to while he could still use and have fun with it. Dad will be 82 this year, and I didn't want to wait too long.

Oh man…..Jayster hitting’ da big time!….with QUALITY…….GOOOOOOOOOooooooooooo Jayster!

Does it come with a mower deck? If not, you can buy a bush hog from Tractor Supply and get it with finishing blades and you can cut the yard with it…….Leave it there at the cabin? That will be on someone’s front yard for sale a week later.

Get rid of all of the fuel fuel filter and flush the fuel system and tank, junk will clog those injectors up fast.

Harry…don’t get none of the kubotas that have an X after the model. They are chinsey….I have the B series but I like the L series.

Same tractor my BIL has……..I was just b.s. with him and his also has 1,000 hours on it.

Hey! How'd you do that?

No mower. Don't need a finish mower for anything. A bush hog I could probably use. Wouldn't mind a back hoe for the ditches but I'm not paying that for as little as I'd use it.

Thanks 45.
I'm just acutely aware of time these last couple years. Wish I'd done the camp sooner, but I didn't have the idea till last year haha.
I stayed close cause I am the only kid they had. I knew they'd need help when they got older. I grew up watching them do the same for their parents, who were also close by. It's just what is right. They didn't give me a lot of material things, but were very good to me when I was growing up. I owe em.

What’s a Joshua tree? Like a scrub tree?

Yea GK……it’s the second time they climb the net and the guy is running from left to right and it’s while serious battle is going on.

It’s actually hot outside….got my shorts on with longjohns…..Jays favorite mode of dressing.

Grass is growing….landscape trailers going up and down the road and there’s only 2 poor people who cut their own grass around here, me and my neighbor….make that 3, my weasel BIL…..

Digs for the next few days, cactus, palms. Music playing, Beyond the Sea with a woman softly singing in French. Gk, this tiwn needs a lot of service people, resorts, 100 golf courses. Going to check out Cathedral Canyon. Let the system work for you - ride the tide ;-)

Made the acquaintance of the lively and charming Monica last night, Billy Reeds - she probably knows the opportunities.

OK…..that’s a Joshua tree……..as Jed Clampet would say, “not much good for firewood……

Seriously, California is good ONLY for the ones with money…everyone else is scraping along…..here in Pa., you can live comfortably on a blue collar salary, as long as you stay away from the uppity areas and manage your money responsibly.…...I did it, but couldn’t do it again around here…..…up in Maine that’s all you need for living quarters is to pile up a mess of old appliances around an old car and call it home. Get an old Oldsmobile Convertible and you’d have skylights in the summer……..now, Jay and his pops are uppity with their own digs and land and with the new acquisition of a JD with a loader on it he can push the squatters out on the street. I make it simple around here, just shoot ‘em, but we haven’t had that problem….yet.

Now, on to niceties…….cut the back yard with the semi mighty Kubota. The seat I have on it is a thousand dollar option but with an old guy
like me, it’s like riding on air. It even has a “stink sucker” on it positioned right in the middle. Oh Lordy, my imagination.

Good bye, I have two yards of black mulch to unload…….you know, “gotta keep up with the Harkins.”

It's the darndest thing, around here every place you go by they have a tractor if some sort. Most much nicer and newer than the one I bought. I kid you not, on the way to Bangor, there is a guy living in an old camper that has a 35k dollar tractor parked in front of it.

OS I'm not sure I'd fit in with the California in crowd, maybe back in 49 with a shovel and a pick perhaps... :?

I've always liked tractors, when my father in law passed on I helped on the farm and did a bit of tractor work. When I was doing a lot of Western riding we took the quarter horses to a country show, the horses owner asked me if I'd mind driving his tractor back home as he was driving the horse box, the darn thing was so big I needed a ladder to reach the cab and it had more gears than I could count but I got it home in one piece.
It wasn't this one but you get the idea.....he owned a plant hire company.

Six, I tried to see the guy with only a Grarand stock but even stopping the movie several times I didn't see it, but I have noticed a lot of movies on Prime and Netflix have bits cut out which is annoying., bloody good movie though.

I absolutely HATE that. Every time you watch something, part is missing. Same with everything else. This country is dead. Sick of it.

Sorry boys. Just in a foul mood. Have to go to a funeral for a 30yo girl today. Daughter of our middle sons in-laws. Said she "didn't feel well", went into a seizure, and died right there. What a shame. I went to school with her dad. He's a wicked good guy. I feel real bad for them. You figure when your kids are grown, you're "over the hump", but you never are.

Sooner our youngest boy is off the hoist under a CH60, the better. Especially in this 3rd world country. He is about done with it, thankfully.

Sorry to hear your sad news Jay, it seems more common now that healthy youngsters drop in their tracks, with all my unhealthy habits in the past I often wonder why I'm still above the turf.
I said to the landlady this morning when I wake up I'm still a youngster until I see the decrepit old geezer in the shaving mirror.

Thank you, my friend.
Well you make it farther than me! I realize it when I try and put on my socks. :D
I'm stiff, but my stubborn and mean nature allow me to power through! :D
