Anyone use Hodgdon online data

Post by GunnyMack »

I've tried to use their online data, I can input all the pertinent info, cartridge, bullet weight, select powder but it doesn't give me any data.
I've emailed them about it and they say it is browser related. Or pop up blocker. Well I can't get data using Duck Duck Go, Google. I removed the pop up blocker as well.
Doesn't work on my iPad either...

They say email us and we will send you the data in a reply. No, make your site WORK!
What I should do is send them a list of everything I load for, ask for data on every bullet weight and powder. Let's see, 17 rem, 22 hornet, 218 bee, 25-20, 22-250, 257 AI, 7Mauser, 308,338 Federal and WM, 375 H&H, 450 Bushmaster plus pistol !
Or they should put out a manual !

If you have had trouble or if it works I'd appreciate some input either way.

I've used it a lot past couple years. Was on it just couple days ago and it worked for me. Very useful info!

It works for me.
And they do put out an annual publication.

On my devices the key to this site is to scroll down the page and wait a few seconds and then back up. The search results based on the parameters prompted from the drop-down options appear out of nowhere just when you might think it isn't working. Yes, sometimes I have to clear search caches and restart devices to make this site work.

Cache is cleared, scrolling doesn't work...
Yes the annual manual is an option but it wouldn't always be at my finger tips.

I just tried it, and it is working for me. I use EDGE as my browser.

I use it all the time. Works well. You know of course that you have to hit the "Update Data" button after you input your variables? Otherwise you have something in your settings that doesn't allow it to perform.

Yes Griff, I hit update and it just does nothing.
I tried EDGE and it worked , tried it a little later and nothing.
I'm at a loss as to what/why/ how to get the data on my phone.

All I have is my phone and whenever I put in all my info and hit UD, it goes to it. Sometimes it's very slow and I have to scroll down and then back up and it'll eventually pop up, but it's never failed me provided my phone signal is sufficient.

It's been clunky like that for me as well. I haven't figured out the exact sequence but putting my email address in (even though I've already signed up in the past) seems to jog the data loose and it populates. I can never remember if I should put the email in before putting in the cartridge and powder data or after. But that seems to be the issue for me

I was simply making sure you were aware.
And I have several different manuals in pdf that I keep on my phone and kindle. Handy as can be.

Yes I have Western powders saved as a pdf. If Hodgdon had a pdf I wouldn't be here right now.

So I tried Google, no soap, then Edge worked once. Duck duck go is N G. Then I tried Chrome and it worked. I don't like to use anything Google related because they are always watching you.

I've never had problems -- seems instantaneous. Just tried it to see how things are today and it spit out the info immediately. I use Duck Duck Go.
