I just bought 50 Hornady 300 Savage brass for equivalent of $60USD. That single bag of new brass was the only 300 Savage brass I could find in Canada on line. Federal 300Savage loaded ammo is available for a bit more than that. I don't like Federal brass so no go for me.
What's the 300 savage brass situation in your neck of rhe woods?
While searching I checked on 348 Winchester brass.Scary!!! Hornady brass, 20 cases for $85 Cdn, $4.25 @ for 348W brass. The other options wee Starline $150 Cdn for 50,$3.00 @
Jamison brass in 348W was available in past but I don't see any now. It was more expensive than the Hornady brass.
Scary stuff.Gonna be hard for young folks to get into the old calibres in light of the current prices of ammo and components.

Re: 300 Savage Brass availability/cost in your area
I randomly come across older calibers here and there these days. I do see 300 Savage cartridges occasionally, mostly Remington. Seems like they were around $40/box. I'm in WI..

It is unavailable everywhere I have checked. I made a batch from commercial 308s last year.

Local gun store has 348w brass for $55 / 50

I'd buy that 348Winchester brass! great trading material in the future. I am pretty sure Winchester has moved it from seasonal production to discontinued.
