These Lazy Young Kids...

Post by AJMD429 »

.
Lazy young'uns these days...

So my son is home from out west and he's in his mid-20 so of course what would a normal kid do when home for the holidays but watch tick tock videos and text all his friends on his cell phone...

... but of course I wouldn't have a normal kid now would I...???

He messed up my nice clean woodshed....

Then the next day he finds a huge dead oak tree cuts it down and drags it out of the Woods and leaves it laying in the driveway where I'm probably going to trip over it...!!!

I guess he felt guilty about that...

But I get home from work last night a little bit before 10:00 p.m. and I hear a small engine running in the dark and as I walk up the driveway I see him out there with his headlamp on splitting wood. ...but he's so lazy he's using the wood splitter instead of doing it by hand.

I can't believe these young kids these days....

They sure are. Quentin was out in the dark, taking down Christmas lights last night because he didn't want his mother out in the rain this weekend obsessing about putting everything away.

Crazy kids! :D :D

Yep, you only hear about the bad ones who, thank goodness are in the tiny minority. I am so blessed to have my hardworking kids (and new granddaughter).

My daughter has been of immense help here at home after Mrs. YK's fall. Y2K started a new job a month+ ago, so he's been socked at work. Raising them right does help indeed! :D

Doc,
Ya reap what you sow........same with me......zero issues.....no asking to borrow money/living in my basement/heavy drama ......and I'm sure your parents "reaped what they sowed" with you also.

You pat that boy on the back for me and tell him it's from some redneck in Pa. I like the way he made holders for the wood with the cinder block and metal posts....for the ends. I just stack the wood criss cross style for a "vertical straight wall" with nothing needed to hold up the rest but the wood needs to be split for that with little to no rounds.

Oh!....BTW, give yourself and mom a pat too--------006
