I spotted this Double Nine for sale here in Oz and would be interested in your thoughts.
The seller has US$350 on it but says he's open to negotiation. It's been advertised since April 2022 so I'm thinking he'll come down. Serial number - M064XXX - indicates a 1976 build . . . I think.[

I have an older one that was made in the early 60s, ive had it for 30 years & it still runs like a clock
really like the ease of loading & kicking out the emptys, it shoots very well but does not look to purdy
mine has a dove tail rear sight
Had one with the long barrel when i was a kid and loved it.

when I collected Hi Standard pistols I owned several Double Nines and they were great guns. Well made, and having 9 shots in a revolver was a great design. I still think they're one of the best .22 revolvers ever made. Only deficit is the rudimentary sights.
My Grandfather bought a Sentinel 9 shot in the 60s and it ended up with me, and now my daughter has it (and shoots it better than I can ) A great little trail/plinking shooter.

My 92 year old grandmama has one as her only gun. I gave her some CCI velocitors for it back in the first ammo crunch of this century as it was the most powerful 22 ammo I had on hand. Hers is nickeled and kinda rough finish wise but mechanically sound. My dad had a nickel Sentinel that I shot a huge rat in our bathroom with rat shot. Even got charged! I wish I went with a revolver for my first rimfire handgun. They are much more versatile and less finicky than the autos.
Now that your pictures are working yours is the upgraded version with adjustable rear sight, not the fixed sight early version that was just a notch in the top strap like I had. That should be a more accurate version, and be more fun to shoot.
