Finally pulled the trigger!
I have had this Ruger .44 Special Flattop for a few years and have always wanted to have it professionally smithed for a Trigger and Accuracy Job. I finally decided to treat myself and thrilled that I did.

That's absolutely gorgeous! And what a group!
I have a Flattop Bisley that I left with Bobby Tyler to put a bead front sight on. I may as well get him to tune it up while it is there. He has a great gripmaker now that does elk stag better than I have seen elsewhere.

Re: Finally pulled the trigger!
One day I hope to have Tyler Gun Works color case the frame and put a few scratches on it. I forgot to add that I did have the hammer replaced with the low wide SBH hammer. The trigger has a 2 1/2 lbs trigger pull.

Nope, but I am glad that is what he went with.

Re: Finally pulled the trigger!
Very nice Ruger.
I have the same one in 44 spl.
It shoots fairly well from the factory.
One day I would like to do the same to mine.
Tell us about those grips!

Re: Finally pulled the trigger!
This shot pretty good from the factory as well. However, the rear sight was kicked way to the right and it still wasnt feeling right to me. One of the things that Jeff does is sets the barrel to be true dead center. I picked the grips up off of a group I am on on FaceBook. SACK PETERSON is the maker.

Re: Finally pulled the trigger!
That load is hard to beat. I like to use the same load with a little heavier bullet, but 7.5 gr of Unique just makes the .44 Special shine.
