Shot Some of my .22 Long Rifle Handloads Today
Using my old Single Six ... shooting 20 yards from a rest.
Not bad for the first time. I realized I need to improve my crimping technique. But overall not too bad!

Looks like you got better results than we used to get with our TTT sized round shot in reloaded brass.

Great story!
I'll be leaving my Bowen to one of our boys someday.

Yessir. I have that PLAN in place. I am old enough that it is something I could not put off. I have my Grandpa's rifle that he bought around 1910. It is marked to go to my oldest Grandson. Hopefully it will continue Grandfather to Grandson.

Re: Shot Some of my .22 Long Rifle Handloads Today
I have handloads with the 40 gr. bullet and 1.5 gr. Bullsyeye
38 gr. HP bullet and 1.5 gr. Bullseye and also with 1.6 gr. Lil Gun.
I need to chronograph these and will do so when it stops raining and I have a clear day for it. The Lil'Gun load seems pretty powerful. I shot one in the shop and it may be a bit more than a Hi-Speed Long Rifle. We shall see.

Paul, I will bet old Elmer would approve of that little slug. I sure like the looks of it.

Re: Shot Some of my .22 Long Rifle Handloads Today
That could be, Bill. My comment was due to seeing folks refer to any kind of a semi-wadcutter or flat nose bullet as a "Keith Bullet" - even if they are very different from the ones he actually DID design.
