However, I have a feeling that Rob Bonta, CA AG, will appeal the case to be heard by the entire 9th Circuit Court. I seriously doubt that CA AG will go quietly into the night with this ruling. And if it is heard on appeal by the entire 9th, all bets are off. This case could end up before SCOTUS.

It's not over yet. The state will likely appeal to the 9th circuit court. And it may well end up in the supreme court. But it is a step in the right direction. But if they do appeal a lot depends on if they get an injunction to stop sales/ownership during the appeals process.

As long as we win a few, it staves off a dystopian, unconstitutional future.
It saddens me that so many are willing to withdraw, and barricade themselves behind laziness and self-pity.

The Court entered an injunction staying his ruling until July 4, 2021 to allow the state to appeal.

West Coast AGs still clinging to their Little Red Books. Stalin and Mao would be so proud of them.

WAY too many gun owners just bury an AR someplace, stock up on toilet paper, mutter about “from my cold dead hands,” and talk about Rapture.
God gave us brains and George Washington and others gave us a Constitutional Republic, which our ancestors bled to preserve.
All the ‘gunshop cowboys’ do lots of talking, but so few ever participate politically it really sucks. They fantasize about martyrdom going down in a firefight with gun confiscators but don’t know the names of their own legislators at state or federal level...
Doctors for Sensible Gun Laws "first do no harm" - gun control LAWS lead to far more deaths than 'easy access' ever could.

BINGO! And don't even ask them to support or join one of the firearms advocacy groups! You will hear more excuses than Carter has little pills.

Judge Benitez placed his ruling on a temporary stay:
"The assault weapons ban will not disappear immediately: Benitez issued a temporary stay for his decision, giving state Attorney General Rob Bonta 30 days to appeal the ruling at the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals before it takes effect.
"[CA Atty Genl] Bonta has already vowed to appeal Benitez’s decision, which he called 'fundamentally flawed' in a Friday night statement."
