Re: Electric wood art
That's really different, when I first looked at it I thought it was a map of a river system. Mark a and sell it as a treasure map and drive someone nuts trying to locate where it is...

Re: Electric wood art
I can see all sorts of decorative uses for this. Picture frames, display cases, or just anything that needs some art around the perimeter to add to the piece!
Don't think I'd ever do it to a rifle stock, but I think I'd definitely try it on some handgun grips.

Re: Electric wood art
Yes, electricity can be dangerous. So can reloading. Pay attention at all times and never forget to respect the rules. Lots of cautious electricians live long lives.
Those unique patterns could be formed on a set of revolver grips, then filled in with clear or colored epoxy for a cool and individual look on a revolver. 1911 grips, too. There wouldn't be any two with the exact same pattern.

Re: Electric wood art
I plug the transformer into a strip with a on off switch so ya can kill the power fast.
Main thing is not to touch anything while it`s on.
We just finished a pattern on the table we made have to light stain and ploly next.

Re: Electric wood art
As a retired electrician I look at the patterns, and can't help but think of how electricity travels paths across your body when it's shocking the heck out of you! I like it, yet kinda brings back bad memories too!

Re: Electric wood art
Try filling the grips with a gold paint. The dark wood ought to make the gold really eye popping. An epoxy paint should stick well.

Re: Electric wood art
Hey, the table looks like a map of where your door to nowhere leads. Do you think it would work n a Poplar walking stick? Pretty cool looking patterns.
30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres
