I’m short a Rossi. Two actually. A trapper with a nice tiger striped stock and a 20”. Anybody here buy those from me? This is the only place I would have moved them. Both are super slicked.
Yup! That would be a senior moment.
That gun is next to my daughters bed. Gave it to her last year.

It is quite possible you will find them under your bed or some other innocuous place where you put them for safe-keeping, but so you could get to them easily. Just before I left on an extended trip I put my Cold Steel Hunter in a safe place. That was almost 3 years ago. I have yet to find it.
I recently did something like that. Hope you figure it out quick.

I once lost an Ithica SxS 20 ga for 4 or 5 years, only found it when we were moving. I could not begin to explain why it was broken down in the back of a closet shelf behind a bunch if sweaters. Keep looking!
Well not being a senior(at the time) I once set my K22 on a stump in a silage pit to go take a phone call, days later I found it right where I left it!
Just a couple years ago I was robbed, at the range. That thief was very good as they put it back in my safe! Yes I looked in my safe 4 times before I went into panic mode, going to the police to file a report, they did investigate. About 3 months later it was back in my safe... I felt like such a moron when I called the officer to admit I had it all the time!
When we left for the "Winter of Fun" trip last year I hid most of my guns in the house and left a couple red headed step children in the safe. Somewhere in my house there is a Ruger P-95 playing hide 'n seek with me and so far it's winning.

I'm not paranoid because I carry a gun. Why should I be paranoid. I've got a gun.
Two weeks ago I lined up three pieces of power equipment to change the oil and check them out for the winter. I have one of those long plastic funnels I use all the time for gas and oil . when done I put it out of the way in a safe place to drain.........................now I have to go buy a new one. maybe the Kids took it........
Lost my p/u keys the other day... my son asked me 3 times if I looked in the center console of the other p/u... so I looked... nope not there. Ummm... when he looked, there they were! I'm blaming it on needing new glasses... or, maybe that black on black thing: black key, black fob in a black box... Whatever, they weren't on the ring where they belong!
Last nite, during my first reloading session in months, I lost a pin from my Dillon... I'm sure it's laying on the concrete floor, but among all the spilled spent primers I can't find it... but it's not a problem, one phone call to Dillon and a new one is in the mail!!!
Then there's my Combat Commander... trusty companion for nearly 30 years... found it's holster in my "range bucket"... and went looking for it... not anywhere in the house... searched both pickups, the farm tractor, even my Kenworth... all the garage, the barn, workshop, even the late wife's sewing room, which has become the storage room for my gun cases and several K rounds of ammo... to no avail... then last Saturday, my local gunsmith called and said that the first week of December I should get it back! New sights and a pretty new bluing job!

There is a fine line between hobby & obsession! AND... I'm over it!!
No I ain't ready, but let's do it anyway!

Lost a couple guns a few years back, and after checking all three safes I was certain they'd been stolen while I was loading things back into my Suburban at the end of our gun show. Then I thought I better check all my hard cases I have stacked in a corner of my gun room. Sure enough, two of the cases were heavy and I found the two missing guns still in them.
And just the other day I misplaced my engraved Hepburn! I have one safe for old Remingtons, and one for Marlins, and Ballard rifles. The third is for misc. rifles. Sure enough, I somehow stuck the Hepburn in with my Ballard rifles when I finished cleaning it after a shoot.

As we age our brains get like a computer hard drive that has absorbed all of the information that it can hold.....anymore, I just let information go in one ear and out the other. But I'll NEVER forget my appointment to pick up that cool gun I ordered.
Point is most of us remember what we want to remember....a "senior moment" is actually forgetting something that IS important.....make sense Tycer?-----6
Man, it seems as if we all have had those moments. Glad you found it.

A couple years ago I had the exact opposite problem.! I was moving the gun room downstairs after the boy moved out. I found two SxS hammer guns that to this day I do not remember getting.
