Newer PC, need some help
We had to get a newer computer and it has Win 10 in it.
I had fits getting logged in to LG and now every time I leave the forum this PC logs me out. Is there a setting to stop this?
Can someone direct me to where it is?
Help!!!!!
Joe

Joe,
Need a bit more explanation just to be sure of what you are saying.
Is your PC logging you off of the Leverguns forum or is your PC's desktop lock screen coming on?
Are you saying that you keep having to log back into Leverguns or back onto your PC?

Re: Newer PC, need some help
there is a "remember me" check box on the login page, check that when you log in. also, it's your browser that remembers your levergun login credentials, or not, your choice
Re: Newer PC, need some help
What browser are you using? I use Chrome and don't have a problem.

Re: Newer PC, need some help
I have checked the "Remember Me" box every time, doesn't seem to help.
Using Firefox, I hate Chrome.
Have been to browser and looked for the place to check and can't find it.
It also forgets You Tube settings as well.

Re: Newer PC, need some help
I just had my laptop updated to Windows 10 (from Windows 7) since "7" will not be supported past 1/15/20.
Anyway, ALL of my bookmarks were lost in the changeover.
Have to get used to this new system (Windows 10).

Try a different browser and see what happens.

Re: Newer PC, need some help
Yeah, you might not like Chrome, but Win10 likes Chrome, and frankly, that's probably more important than your likes/dislikes. In Chrome there's a box that opens that asked if you want to save your login info, if you check "save", should solve your issue. Maybe. Remember I drive a truck for a livin', so my tech solutions are suspect... even to me!

Re: Newer PC, need some help
This site software has always been a royal PITA for staying logged in for me.
I use FF, always check the box, and more often than not I'm not logged in when I visit again, doesn't matter if it's next week or next day.
Poor old Wind (remember him?) had issues with the board logging him out *mid-session*.
I worked with him at length on the phone, come to find he was using a satellite provider.
The provider was changing his IP address mid-stream and the board software didn't like that at all.
He got that corrected with the board owner (as far as I know), but to this day it doesn't seem to like FF
I'm perfectly all right on other forums and websites, stay logged in for weeks or months at a time...just not this one.
