Leverguns South Africa Safari Pt. 2

Post by 86er »

While riding around with the PH, Etienne:

We saw a few herds of Blesbok:

and some local folks out farming:

Then we dodged some Rhinocerous:

Image

and found a Waterbuck lying in some brush. A 75 yard shot to the neck with the Sav 99, 308 Win with 165gr NP killed it quickly:

Then we headed back to camp:

and settled down for some dinner:

That is outstanding Joe!!! Great pictures, the elephant design on the roof is a nice touch. It looks like you all had a good time, I hope to go someday. Looks like that Grizzly ammo is the way to go, good stuff.

You've got a good eye with the camera. Very nice.
... I love poetry, long walks on the beach, and poking dead things with a stick.

With the exception of the Rhino, that could be any one of a hundred back country roads in Arizona.

I just watched Hatari! with John Wayne a couple days ago, that's about as close to Africa as I'll ever get.

Love the pics, keep 'em coming.

More! More! Glad he got that waterbuck - would hate to think all's he got was that little kangaroo with it's guts hanging out! :)
