35 Rem Marlin and Pete44ru
I bought an older Marlin 336 SC in 35 Rem from old Pete44ru off the forum, he's a very honorable and word keeping gentleman. I'm pleased to own a rifle he owned, and he got it from one of his best friends not long ago, so there's a little history with it. Shoots like a dream, and good guy to buy from. Bruce
To hell with them fellas, buzzards gotta eat same as the worms.

Yeah, they had test patterns back when folks actually
repaired things in this country. I can remember lots
of TV repair shops around. Remember going to Radio
Shack with a bunch of tubes and checking them on the
"tube tester" to see which were bad?
No point to repairing TVs or computers these days - easier
and cheaper to throw 'em away and buy new.

The local "Dime Store" had a tube tester when I was a little kid. I would play with the knobs and stuff while my Mom looked at fabric and patterns.stretch wrote:Yeah, they had test patterns back when folks actually

I remember test patterns...we had five TV stations then: ABC (4), NBC (5), CBS (7), PBS (9) and a local independent (11). Yup, back in that bygone era before computers and cable TV...when kids played outside, rode bikes until dark and had to be drug home to eat dinner or take a bath before bed....back when our kids weren't lumps of lazy fat.
On a completely unrelated subject, a few years ago, I went to a high school band concert for one of my nephews. Fully 60% of his class mates were overweight, some of them morbidly obese. Who says advances in technology are good for us?!?!?

My Dad is a fair skinned redhead (well, until he lost most of it and what was left went grey... ).O.S.O.K. wrote:Its Howdy Duddy Time... what a bunch of old fanny burbs we have here... (yes, takes one to know one)
One day years ago, Mom put one of his grade school pictures in her curio cabinet. When I saw it I asked her why she had a picture of Howdy Doody in the case.
From then until she passed away last June she would look for Howdy Doody stuff to put in the cabinet.
Nothing so needs reforming as other people's habits.
