OT- It goes by so fast...
...the first year does.
I can't believe it, but my chubby little baby is not so much a baby any more. It doesn't seem like it's been a whole year already. If it goes this fast, she'll be driving pretty soon.
We got her a swing for the tree outside. She has a blast on it, but, mostly she likes to relax and soak up the view.

Looks like a baby to me.
It's hard for a young man to reserve enough of the day to spend quality time with them at this age, but make time. You will never regret it.
Before you know it she will be graduating from college and following some young buck to G_d knows where.

Government office attracts the power-mad, yet it's people who just want to be left alone to live life on their own terms who are considered dangerous.
History teaches that it's a small window in which people can fight back before it is too dangerous to fight back.

Oldest is 18 now, and driving and off to college soon. I remember when she could stand in one of my rubber chore boots and rest her chin on the edge. I never took a picture of that, and now it's too late...
Enjoy every stage, and the advice about spending TIME doing stuff with them is so true. Nothing fancy needed - just play legos or walk outside and pick dandelions or throw rocks. Never met a kid who was a 'dissapointment' who had lots of time one on one with each parents and with the parents together, but lots of kids I'm glad aren't mine who had parents out working and gone all the time so they could buy the kid the best toys and so on.
Oh yeah, get rid of the television. Keep it if you want to watch home movies or rent DVD's, but otherwise get rid of it; it rots minds and wastes time. (My perspective is admittedly that of a farm-dweller; when we lived in the city we did watch some TV, because there wasn't much else to do.)

Doctors for Sensible Gun Laws
"first do no harm" - gun control LAWS lead to far more deaths than 'easy access' ever could.
