Forum member OJ had a pair of Great Danes, used to dote over the if I remember right.

What ever happened to OJ? He hasn't posted in a long time.

I am not going to walk up to that kid. He is well protected. Look at the way the dog is standing. He knows to protect the kid.

I don't know about putting a saddle on him, but a sulky or buckboard behind him would be useful.

My understanding is that Great Danes are one of the shortest lived digs. Enjoy them while you have them.

Generally yes, though it depends on the blood lines. Our Dane Lucy is 10 and her mother is 13 and still with us.
