All three groups were fired from the same distance, thru the same 45 Colt 92 Rossi Short Rifle and same load 200grain RFN over 6.5 grains of RedDot, Each group of 10 was fired by a different shooter @ the same distance.
All have 5 shots out of the scoring area, and all have 5 shots in the scoring area.

That's the order the 3 groups were shot in. Some of #1 was walking them in. We didn't account for hits outside the 2 scoring rings... for group size, yes #2 is the clear winner.

That's what I was going to say......
I still like Col. Cooper's one shot group. Did you hit it? Yes! Good group.

I signed in the other night and I had 11 PM's requesting brass along with friendly demands to show up on the board. A few months ago I just lost interest with guns and that's extremely hard to believe. I was only shooting 4 or 500 rounds a month and my wife suggested I shoot more and get away from the house. I wonder what that was all about. ------6
Dang! I'm more popular here than I am at home. Is there anyway I can move into a "discussion board"? Maybe Old Savage will let me move in his place along with all of those fringe benefits of the "soft stuff".------------6

S'alright, the groups aren't worthy of note, I just wondered how anyone else would score them. Myself, I'm not too thin-skinned, but... the other two gents... they might be!

ok, here is my opinion on the scoring. #2 is the winner as the majority of the hits are close together. Number 1 comes close and number 3 is in outer space. While number 3 has the nice "rounded look", it appears to me the shooter is my age as he cannot see the sights as well as he used to.
Things might change a bit if it was done all over again as we get better with experience with a strange gun and its unanticipated trigger pull and sight picture.------6
I still say #1 has 3 10s & 2 9s, while #2 has 3 9s & 2 10s. And 6, #3 is just over ½ the age of shooters 1 & 2!
I always consider group size, not poi as the determining factor as the best group.......unless of course, we are lobbing grenades.
As for the age of shooter #3.........are you telling he is well into his forties?
(Ain't it fun ball bustin'?)-----6
If you have scoring rings... why not use 'em? And with 45Colts, yeah, grenades is about right!!!
No, but then I did say, OVER ½ the age of the other two.
