Antique Marlin 38-55 Desktop Photo

Post by KirkD »

Here is an original Marlin 1893 deluxe, 38-55, checkered stocks and half octagon barrel. It was shipped in 1895 and is still in beautiful condition. It isn't mine .... I just picked it up for a friend of mine. He said to go ahead and see what it will do, so below the photo is another photo of a 5-shot group at 100 yards with .381 cast bullets and 17 grains of 5744 for just over 1,300 fps.

cedars and a magnificent Whitetail buck framed in the semi-buckhorn sights of a 120-year old Winchester.

Thanks Kirk, Beautiful rifle. Your 5744 loads sure run good in my 38-55 too.
