Love that LBT 280 gr. Would be interested to know what your final weight is on that, after lubing and with the check on. I know alloy has everything to do with it. Mine come out at 294 gr +or -, after I lube and have the check on. Just curious

Just finished casting about 30 minutes ago !
Took a different approach today , I'd cast one weight then take a break and cast another weight .
But I got 100+ of all 4 done .
The finished product !

The LBT 431-280GC cast from straight wheel weights drops at about 288 grains . Sized in a .433" die lubed and checked it weighs about 296 grains . Those were averages of three bullets of each .

All four of those molds I bought used . The NOE/RD mold I'd actually wanted for awhile much like a RD 432-300GC HP and a RD 432-240GC HP . Well NOE would have to make them both again as RD never made in HP molds .Dan 444 wrote:I haven't started casting this year, yet. Those pictures sure do make me wanna' git goin' on it!

But I am back thinking about getting Mountain Molds to cut me a 432-365GC with a Ranch Dog nose and normal lube grooves .
We'll most likely be hunting again in about two months so I need to get my stuff straight PDQ .

Nice looking product for that 444!
I like the clever use of a simple box to prevent spatter - great idea.
