Grounds to have man card revoked?

Could a fellow have his man card revoked for trading that for a Civic? What on Earth is he thinking?

Nah....in this economy (and who knows his employment situation) maybe he needs 30+ mpg for a long commute.....

Re: Grounds to have man card revoked?
Having traded a ½-Ton Chevy 4x4 p/u w/V-8, compound low 4-spd, 4.11 posi rear and 4.10 posi front, 38"s for a ¼-T Toyota for just that reason... I gotta say I agree... but... 6 mos later during a heavy rain storm the lil' Toyo skidded off a muddy road and rolled over; where the Chevy would have just laughed at the rain/mud gods... So, while sometimes you THINK you're doin' the right thing... maybe there needs to be more than just a 'sigh' of wistfulness when you sit at the end of the pavement in your tame, sedate Civic... something along the lines a little dweeb with the hottest chick you can imagine in the passenger seat of your old Jeep, waving bye-bye to your candy-azz...BlaineG wrote:Nah....in this economy (and who knows his employment situation) maybe he needs 30+ mpg for a long commute.....

Re: Grounds to have man card revoked?
One of the many things amazing with those Jeeps they hold their resale extremely well.
Daughter BF few years back intended on getting a 2 or 3 year old gently used Wrangler.
Ones that were 3 or 4 years old hardly even depreciated.
Ended up going new.

Re: Grounds to have man card revoked?
Exactly....IYR, I was looking for a few year old with 50,000 or so on it....Got the new one, albeit with the only option air conditioning, for just a few thou more than the used ones, including 7 year bumper to bumper. I drove a company Wrangler with the old 4.0 six, and it got 10-12 mpg, so I think I won bigtime....madman4570 wrote:One of the many things amazing with those Jeeps they hold their resale extremely well.

I think you made a wise choice Blaine.
I really want one.
7 year bumper to bumper is unreal does that cost much more than say the $1200-$1500 they are getting for a lot of the mfg 5/100,0000 ???? And don't think most are bumper to bumper either.
7 B to B would be very sweet.
