If you are going to scope a .30-30, why do it on a Winchester and ruin the looks? Am I missing something?

Like his ad says, at least he did it to a junker rifle. I guess some people just get bored. The only scope I've ever put on a lever is the scout scope currently on my Marlin 1895GS. That setup does not look like it would lend itself to rapid target acquisition

A peep site would be better on a zombie attack. They tend to come up on u all of a sudden and in vast numbers. Close range head shooting is the order of the day.By the way, in Human Kill magazine, the zombie gun writers do not consider a 30-30 as an adequite stopper.

One of the advantages of having a scope so far down the weapon, and a low Magnification, is being able to keep both eyes open. As you know, this does not work with normally mounted scopes. Burris Scout Scope is 2.75x and it's been determined that's the max for a scout scope/keeping both eyes open combination. Both eyes open = super depth perception, and essentially a very wide field of view....

You changed guns on us.... I keep both my eyes open on almost every gun I shoot.

The OP listed a 94 rifle with a ACOG knock-off (not clone). I see no benefit of that at all other than to impress????? whom???

I don't like the setup, and I wouldn't buy it.

I might buy the beater for a project on it's own merits if the thing optic was removed and destroyed and the price was 'right'.

:)
Government office attracts the power-mad, yet it's people who just want to be left alone to live life on their own terms who are considered dangerous.

History teaches that it's a small window in which people can fight back before it is too dangerous to fight back.

There... fixed that for ya... That might be worth the $550 w/the ACOG clone... but only if it hadn't been "de-finished", drilled & tapped on the receiver and the trigger butchered.
