Is that real or dubbed? Either way that's pretty funny.!

That has to be fake but what a laugh if true.

Someone said that war is hours and hours of deadly boredom punctuated with minutes of absolute terror. It looks like these guys are just looking for a way to break up the boredom.

We used to do something like that with bar girls in Korea, the hard part was
keeping a straight face.

It's good to see Jarheads are still the same.

God bless them all.

Gives additinal menaing to term, "Ugly American"

Makes me think Jeremiaah Wright might be correct about chickens coming home to roost.

Not funny.

You have got to be kidding. I'm hoping you are being sarcastic, though the Wright reference makes it in poor taste if you were. The clip was hysterical. Shows once again that even in difficult and strenous, life-threatening situations, the American warrior can be both brave and light-hearted.

Rude & childish behavior;bully

Post by 2571 »

Kid in the car is polite, constantly says, "Sir', and understands pats on automatic weapon, replying, "I want nothing to do with politics".

American kid keeps repeating that he wants to shoot someone.

I wan't being sarcastic.

WHAT WEAPON ?

Does anyone recognize what weapon the GI is holding? It appears
to have no magazine inserted and has a full length tube under barrel.
Could it be a shotgun ?

Yes - he had shells for it on his vest.

He did not threaten the kid in the car at all. If the kid did go off and tell the insurgents that the Americans had dared them to attack, it would accomplish one of two things. Either the insurgents would not, fearing an ambush, or they would, and walk into one. Either way, the good guys win.

I fail to see the problem with a little bravado diplomacy...

I don't know if this video is real or dubbed. If it is real, I don't know if the kid in the car even understands everything being said to him. The Marine made it plain that they wanted some insurgents to come out and play. I would too if I were in his boots. Overall I'd say it's better than throwing a puppy off a cliff. God bless him and I hope he comes home safe.

I am just curious how people that think like this navagate through life without having a belly window installed.

The GI was very polite as he ask the young man to relay a message to the bad guys.
