I've found a couple of manuals online for the Browning BLR's, that I thought might be useful to those wanting to learn a little more about them. You can download them from the links below:
Even though this one is titled "Pre 81", it looks like it applies to the 81's with the steel receivers as well.

This one discusses long and short actions, so I think it mostly applies to the aluminum framed versions.

Thanks Hawkins, I will definitely download them. I have a copy of the Browning service manual for the BLR that I downloaded and printed off. Really helpful, especially when re-assembling one.
