I go turkey hunting a lot with this 1892 25-20 rifle. It is a great shooter. I always feel I should have a large caliber handgun with me for four legged animals that might think I'm the turkey and two legged animals that might want to rustle our cattle. I don't want to carry one of my nicer Colt SAAs into the places I set up for turkey. I walked up on this Hartford EMF 44 Special SAA for 325.00 the other day and it fit the bill. I just think it was a good deal and wanted to show y'all. It has been slicked up for SASS so it shoots great.
Very nice .44.
I have to confess, that I really prefer shooting .44 special in my Taurus .44 Mag DA revolver. They are much like a .38 in a .357 - mild and accurate. Course, I can always stuff in some full house .44 mags if needed, but that is why my left ear still rings from blasting a rattlesnake at a deer feeder a few years back.

You should have never of bought it! You should have instantly told me about it so that I could have stolen it out from under you!
But since its yours now, GOOD SNAG!
Sixgun beat me to, but... you're starting to rival Kirk with those nicely composed photos.
CAS hasn't been at all bad for the sixgun! Some of the 'smiths that specialize in these old guns to slick 'em up for competition have come up with innovative ideas that have really added life and viability for other uses.
I'm also of the opinion that rifle and sidearm should compliment, not duplicate each other.
Well... the load is ready for me to go fetch; Cowboys on the Outdoor Channel is over, so I'll be off for a day or so while I climb over the mountains here in Western Oregon on my way to Indiana. Should be in Idaho tomorrow, with digital service again. Ya'll be safe, and may God Bless.

There is a fine line between hobby & obsession! AND... I'm over it!!
No I ain't ready, but let's do it anyway!
I shoot a pair of Colt 44 specials for CAS & SASS. great shooters.
I developed a great target & general purpose load that is a tack driver. 3/4" 15 yards, two handed hold on the bench over sand bags. 4 shots clover leafed.
