It's so wild. We live two blocks off the main street of a little town outside of Asheville. The next door neighbor counted 1150. Last year the weather was bad and it was 750. Our whole street kicks it up for the night. 75# of candy. Gone.
This is me, the 50-something year old kid goofing with the real kids for three hours. My alter-ego comes out with a bit of Evan Williams, an Aussie/Italian accent via Minnesota and a pair of safety glasses and a $5 mask that fits well, I can talk, eat, and drink as normal. I have a box of stuff that comes out every Halloween and goes away the same night and I had several people say they come back every year just to see my character. What a hoot. The music is a loud loop of Oh Yeah by Yello and Several Species Of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together In A Cave And Grooving With A Pict by Pink Floyd.
Interesting thread..
Nobody comes out where I live either.. So, I took a pail of candy and a jar of quarters and went up to the café in town to meet the kids there.. Success, plus had a great time!
Only had 3 Reese's pieces left for me....

I live quite a ways out of town but signed up for the trick or treat route this year. We got a whopping 2 cars totaling 5 kids. Those 5 kids got quite a bit of candy.
My wife is always so disappointed that we never get any kids. We live close enough to a condo complex that
you would think we'd get some with all the work she puts into decorating the house. I bet they figure it isn't
worth it for just one house but the little buggers would be getting enough candy to rot every last tooth just for showing up!

Somewhat light turnout here. Maybe 100 - stretching it. Wow, 75 pounds of candy!
Kinda sad. Y2K hasn't gone out for years - too big. He was down in the basement working on a paper for school. Our daughter started middle-school this year, and decided she'd go out one more time - but wanted to walk with friends. First time we haven't walked one or both of our kids around in 15 years...
Halloween is catching on in the. UK, I did see a few kids In the village trick n treating but. I live too far down a long drive to get any spooky visitors.....

Whatever you do always give 100%........... unless you are donating blood.
Wow. We live on a main thoroughfare. When we moved here about 27 years ago we looked forward to Halloween and got ready for the rush. Not one person came to the door. In all the years we've lived here not one person has come to our door on Halloween. We had some "vandalism" this year. I put out the trash for Friday morning pickup and somebody had pushed over one of the trash cans.

Been where I live over thirty years. It seems to go up and down depending on the age of the kids in the neighborhood. Heck, I've had parents bringing their kids by that came by with their parents when they were kids.
This year was fair. I usually over buy on the candy, but the wife takes it to work, and you'd think the ladies there were gremlins after midnight the way it goes.
