Rossi 92 454 firing pin

Post by GiantDave »

Hello all! I need help with my rossi 92 454. Is it unusual for the firing pin to shatter into a dozen pieces? Granted its one of the first 454's and its had 10000+ rounds thru it, but Ive never had a pin shatter like this. Any input would be appreciated. One other thing--does $30 sound excessive for a replacement?
Thanks!

There's a feller wandering around here somewhere that's a Rossi 92 expert. He should be here shortly. Pull up a seat and welcome to the forum.

$30 is not much, but I'd think that kind of thing would be considered 'warranty' and a freebie (but of course shipping costs may be more than that).
