David/Paul - While I had the problem this morning (Eastern Daylight Savings Time), if it means anything in reference to what you might now be doing, the forum's now running normally for me @ 3PM, instead of the usual 6PM.

Maybe you gave something a kick in the keyster.

I ran a couple of scans and found a virus, and I have a feeling I picked it up from this website.
The virus was ROOTKIT.OAccess. You guys may want to check that out. Apparently it hides in filders and is very difficult to find and remove.

You did not pick it up from THIS website. We don't do things that way. Now, if you followed a link to somewhere from a link someone posted here, I'll not answer for that. Anyone can post any kind of link. But we don't do the spam/virus/malware thing 'round these parts.

Sincerest of apologies. I reread my post, and it does sound rather accusing and even rude. That was far from my intention. I was trying to help out, and although my phrasing and choice of words could have been better, I was attempting to suggest that the website may have been unknowingly compromised by rootkit virus, if that is even possible.
I know you guys dont do spam/virus/malware thing, and thats a big part of why I enjoy this site.
It will be interesting to find out what the problem was once the mystery is solved.

I was on about 0830 this am....My entire ComCast.net went down for about 20 minutes......Putting on my tinfoil for a bit, people have been predicting an internet meltdown right before martial law....Dry Runs? Probably not, because FaceBook has not been a problem...that would be the first choice for Them to destroy if they wanted to black out communication.

Generally when I try to get on in the morning, EDT, I am unsuccessful. Tried again this morning at 10:00am and 10:15am, and couldn't connect either time. At 1:05pm (as I type this) things seem fine.
