Looks like they're from the '20s by the serial numbers. I would love to have just one, but it wouldn't stay new with me for long.

"It is also possible to see that all ten carbines have their hang tags and the accompanying ten hand made wooden cleaning rods in the bottom of the crate."
Hand made wooden cleaning rods
Was this the norm back in the day
Did every Win. 94 come with one of these cleaning rods
If so, what year did Winchester stop doing this

Drool. Those would look great all in a rack, Matt Dillon style, in the den I also don't have! I've got a SRC ca 1917 that's in decent shape, but nothing like those!!

Only $21,850.00 each. I'll take two. Or maybe three
A dream is an understatement, more like a fantasy to find such a treasure.
Who here would violate them by loading them up and shooting them .....
I Would, in a heartbeat!

.
Dream on....... If one of those museum puppies was even removed from their crate, nevermind actually shot (again, after proof), the value would drop to a measly $2K or so (each).
The entire assembly/presentation/provenance is what imparts the extra value.
Over a Marlin. . .

All but one Joe! That one would be put in a temperature and humidity controlled safe room, under guard (dog ) only trotted out a few times a year for public display!J Miller wrote:Only $21,850.00 each. I'll take two. Or maybe three

Re: An Under The Christmas Tree Dream...
Gentlemen,
I have seen that crate, before. It was for sale awhile ago. If you look at the headline, in casastahle's link, then you will see the date:
March 13, 2012, 10:00 AM EST | Fairfield, ME, US
I always wondered how much that crate sold for. Now, I know the answer.
Shawn
