Ruger no 3 44mag came in the mail today (PIC ADDED)

Got my 44mag Ruger no 3 today and I have to say what a beaut.T he seller said the gun was in good shape but that is an understatement,it is pristine condition almost unfired.I can t wait to take her out for a trail run.

I think I still want a #3 in 375 WIN !

So as I so often here , where are the pictures ?

Heres a pick of my new ruger no 3. I forgot to mention that I also found a new in the box replacement
no 3 buttstock so if I decide to shoot heavy loads I can fit the replacement stock with a recoil pad and leave the original stock as is.

My grandpa had one in 22 Hornet; he'd made a new buttstock on it and put on a lever from a No. 1. I wish I knew what happened to it.

Nice rifle !

If you decide to put a recoil pad on one put it on the one on the rifle !

Swivel studs were not factory original !

Ruger actually sold a swivel set for these the 10/22's and the 44R's , BUT the swivel for the rear was a non detachable and the front swivel was affixed with the bolt that holds the barrel band on !

Check out this NIB in 375 WIN which I believe came out after they had already been doing the 44 MAG for awhile .
