I noticed that you posted this before.
Just a guess, as I would not dare presume to answer for Paco Kelly, out of respect; and as I know him only for his outstanding reputation through his works as a writer and expert; but he might be very involved right now with helping someone very dear to him to regain her health.

I'd also suggest that you e-mail Paco directly. It might be a bit but he will get back with you.
Sincerely,

Hobie

I'm reluctant to bother him, right now wish I could delete this post? Forgot about his personal problems. It can wait.

That's ridiculous. Don't feel bad, at all. Regardless of his personal situation, the man has something for sale that you are interested in buying. Not a thing wrong with that.

That's absolutely right. E-mail him. When he sees it he'll see it and he'll respond. Paco is a really good guy. Don't worry about. Besides, sometimes we need something to distract us from our troubles, even if just for a bit.
Sincerely,

Hobie

Just to add my 2 cents, I have an Acc'rzr and It has brought new life back to an old Marlin Glenfield 60 that I have had for 25 years and too many rounds to count. It was losing accuracy to the point that I retired it. Now it is back to its old self. I think that anyone buying an Acc'rzr won't be disappointed. The nastinose is what my rifle likes.

The only time I thought a .22LR was loosing accuracy was when it needed cleaning? My opinion is lead bullet at velocities of LRs actually lap the bore with each passing? Never known one to wear to the point of loosing accuracy from shooting. Parts wear other than the barrel, maybe?

That is mostly accuracy, but the one time I could take it hunting for squirrels, it did very well. The 4 I saw and got were 1 shot kills. This rifle had been used when I got it and I shot 1 to 2 bricks of ammo through it a week for 7 years after that. It might have been the cleaning that helped to wear the bore out. I also used the copper plated Federal ammo exclusively back then as it was carried at the Alco store in my home town, and I could buy it without being checked when I was 15 years old. The guy who ran the counter was an old family friend and I didn't let him down by doing anything to get him in trouble.

Nothing strange about that, for a well placed shot with any .22 ammo?

I know, but the rifle had been keyholing at 25 yards before using the Acc'rzr. The groups shrunk from 12 inches to 1.5 inches just by using the ammo run through the Acc'rzr.

Now that it's not the killer it once was, that wouldn't have anything to do with an older set of eyes would it?

Sorry I just had to say it.

Seriously, I would think that there is always going to be some lapping of the bore even with a soft lead bullet simply because you can't be sure that everything there is 100% pure. There's always going to be some kind of pocket lint, crud or grime. It could even be the carbon from the shot before.
Come to think of it, there's something I'd never considered before. The carbon from the shot before??? thinking out loud here? that's something that never occurred to me before.

I thin I need to ponder that a while.
