Government office attracts the power-mad, yet it's people who just want to be left alone to live life on their own terms who are considered dangerous.

History teaches that it's a small window in which people can fight back before it is too dangerous to fight back.

Are you getting any satisfaction? Perhaps you're in the process of painting everything black? I don't think you'd be getting into any of Mother's little helpers...

Kicking around the house today, debating whether or not I want to trade one of my .22s for a Mauser 71 or 71/84 or maybe a Model 95 in 7x57.

And I might just have my nineteenth nervous breakdown....

Stuck at work, dull day in the middle of a dull week.

Can't even bring reloading gear up here, its technically part of the UofA campus, so no ammo.

Did make sausage and biscuits for breakfast though, that's always a high point for the day.

92-94,
The company I retired from changed a lot from when I started to when I retired.
When I started the welders were welding back together M14 and M1 Carbine recievers in Argon bubbles, the ones that had been de-milled.
When I retired if you talked about guns, H.R. was going to be talking to you.

Lucky for me the boss and director are both conservative or at least moderate, and the director even will talk guns a bit when she's up here (not often).

We have 4 cops to protect us from Earth First, they all like to talk guns too, and like to look at stocks and grips I bring up to sand and finish.

So I'm pretty lucky on the whole, most of the other people around are reasonable. Its just that darn board of regents and their stupid policies
I've told my wife that if I get eaten by a mountain lion, she has my posthumous permission to sue  (normally I wouldn't condone such a thing)

This one is on Mt. Graham, over near Safford. We usually have a sighting or two a year, but not as often as bears.

Finished at the Dealership PDQ, a buddy picked me up at the house and went for lunch and then to Cabela's.....I swore I would not buy anything, but ended up with a Lil Buddy Heater that used to be 89 bucks for 29 bucks....three value packs of 12 ga 00 buck, and some fudge. *sigh* I find it impossible to go in there and not spend at least that much everytime...Usually, more....much more
They are still lacking AR-type rifles, and mags, but seem to have everything else including ammo of all sorts...no price gouging, but they do have purchase limits on a few things like ammo (10 of each kind) and mags (if they had any)...I don't care for Herters ammo, but they had mucho mucho short 30s, and 9mm....Stacks and stacks of .380, .357. and .40....No shortages here...

Morning started real bad. Was going to replace the starter on my '49 Chevy PU and found a bad starter ring on the flex plate. Will have to pull the front-end and the engine and then find a flex plate for the 400 small block. It has a counterweight on it. Got the oil tank off my wood splitter out of the degreasing vat and brazed the suction line back into it then put the splitter together, filled it with oil and split a little wood.
