The season is going well.

Post by Nath »

Started off with archery equipment and then weeks of muzzleloading intermingled with air gunning and the four supposatory shotguns, three 12g and one 20g.

Opening the safe last night scratching my head as to what to take today I spied the little 9422 looking at me in the corner looking all left out

I removed the scope, three quarter turns on the mounts is all that is needed and the same to refit usually means no zero loss.

Not cold but heavy showers, a good day. I missed a couple but a slight drift of the rear sight got her on. Took three rabbits :) .

One rabbit made it down it's burrow after a heart shot, Tia soon dug it out.

Hope you enjoyed the winter stroll.

Thanks Gents, Tia has been with you since a pup and now at seven is starting to show her age, she takes longer to recover from a day out and she feels the cold more now.

She is asleep now with a full belly :)

It was good to be out with a levergun, simple. Sneaking in close with a levergun for a shot is worth a thousand with a bolt gun in excess of 200yds!

Hope our old friend Joe Miller notices the scope missing :)

Nice post Nath, glad you can enjoy huntin' without the carrying handle!.. :D when I put a scope on my 9422 it felt so awkward it did not stay on more than a couple of days.
