A couple pictures i found
Found these pics , thought i`d share.
First one is a 76 Stingray i had for a couple years about 15 years ago.
Next is a JD-AR Orchard tractor i sold to a guy in Ohio and he restored it as seen in photo.
Next is me taking a break from sawing wood with a whip saw and listening to a Edison phonograph.

Great photos, Pitchy. You've had some nice stuff pass through your hands, like that Corvette and AR.

Pitchy,
Great pics.
I had a chance to "ride" in one of those Vetts, the owner wouldn't let me drive it. Said I couldn't handle it cos it had a 454 under the hood. But it was fun anyway.
I got one of them saws. Wife and I used it a couple months ago to trim some trees that were encroaching on our drive way. Ours needs sharpened.

Joe,
Sharpening those saws is a lost art form.

No kidding. I'd be afraid to try, I'd finish ruining it for sure.
Somebody on this forum said they can sharpen them the last time I posted a pic of mine.
Pitchy was that you?

Re: A couple pictures i found
Thanks.
Ya should have the proper tools to sharpen one because ya need to get the raker height right.
Otherwise you can sharpen the cutters by clamping the saw in a vice and filing them with a flat file.
Joe he was probably right about handling the vet, had a buddy in the service that had one with a 454 and it would burn the rubber off in every gear. He was always putting new clutches in it.

Nice pics Pitch! And...........a really nice pair of boots you have on. Still have 'em?
The cross cut saw..........back East here, those babies sell for good money, usually about $100 to $200 if in fine condition. Rich people buy 'em, then have scenes painted on them. Then they hang 'em up and tell people about all the work they used to do.-------------Sixgun
Hey, if you still have the boots, I'd like to have 'em.

Re: A couple pictures i found
Sixgun, those are just regular logging boots.
I have 6-7 of those saws and most are sharp and ready to use.
Thanks, i was about 45 in that picture.
Wasn`t try to fool anyone with the age of that picture, was just a neat picture sitting listening to a old phonograph meant to look like it was the old days.

Re: A couple pictures i found
I have a few of those saws ready for cutting. You never know when the chainsaw gas might disapear. Same for the splitting wedges in case the splitter loses power. As a matter of fact, I am planning on splitting some wood today. I love going to work in the woods.

I like sawing wood too gobbler if it`s cool weather, even a little snow is ok.
Summer and bugs is not a good time.
It`s amazing how well those old saws cut if sharpened right, they should not drag or pull hard.
