Sheriff's Sale

Fellow Levergunners,

For reasons I won't go into here, the Salt Lake County (Utah) Sheriff's Department will be auctioning some of the family's “recreational instruments”. If not stopped by court action, the auction is scheduled to take place on September 22, 2012.

I am hoping that you Utah levergunners might be able to give a good home to the following:
1.) Winchester Model 9422 lever action .22LR rifle, serial number F199XXX, with Leupold 4X scope.
2.) Colt 1911 Gold Cup National Match, .45 ACP.
3.) Smith & Wesson Model 29, .44 Magnum.
4.) Springfield (Steven Arms Co. manufactured) bolt action .22LR rifle with Weaver C4 scope.
5.) AR-15, M4 clone (not a Colt).

All we ask that the new owners of the above care for them, use them responsibly, and enjoy them during your life time and will be able to pass them on to future generations.

Hope you can get the sale stopped, but otherwise...

1. That is a very nice selection of what I'd consider well-chosen firearms.
2. Some may want to know barrel length on the Model 29.
3. If it were not 1,000 miles away, I'd try to help out.
