Bought this Mark ll target at a gun show years ago and hardly ever shoot it so thought i`d put a few rounds through it.
Shot at 15 yards leaning against a post, fun.

Those are superb pistols, Pitchy. They are capable of
1-hole groups - although your pics show good shooting for
sure! (No offense intended!)
I greatly prefer those Hogue grips like yours is sporting, as
well as the bull barrel. They make a nice club gun for bullseye,
and are also a great field pistol for small game or plinkin'.

I have the same in stainless. Bought new in '88. Great squirrel pistol. I have not had it out in several years. Your post reminds me it needs some woods time this year. I am going to go dust it off right now. Thanks Pitchy.
My MKII Government Target was the first new handgun I bought. For awhile I had a scope on it, and at 25yds it was indeed a one ragged hole shooter. This is the shooter I'd pick if I had a bet on if I could hit a pop can at 100yds.....Pitchy, I want to get those grips, I hope they still make them

Bought one a couple years ago and didn`t like the way it felt, two thin in the grips.

I`d think they would still be available, they have a nice hold.

Just ordered some......I love those finger grips...makes it easier to get the same hold every time. If I ever want to shoot silhouette .22 handgun, this is the one to do it with

Shot a little more, 25 rounds in the left dot with the rifle at 18 yards.
15 rounds in the right dot with the pistol, dern sights are just to fuzzy.

The three lower holes don`t count, i had to adjust the sight up a little as i lowered it to much.
Good enough to shoot some chippys

Ruger Mark pistols are a blast. I have several. The top I use for Bullseye and below
is for rimfire PPC shooting. Both are more accurate than I will ever be.
I'm looking to get a 22/45 gripframe to build another PPC pistol that will more approximate my 1911.

Spaceman, are those Pac-Lite uppers that much better than the bull barreled Ruger uppers? I've been wanting to try one but have been hesitant to spend the money.
My first handgun was just like yours Pitchy except in stainless steel. I bought it in 86 after turning 21 and still have it but haven't shot it in a while. Believe I'll get it out soon. I've got a 22/45 that I've been shooting a lot more lately.

Not better, just different. I have found ALL of my Ruger Mark pistol uppers to be very accurate, factory or aftermarket.
The 10" barrel Pac-Lite gun balances very much like my shorter barreled gun. I like the extra barrel length when I take the
red dot off it for open sight bullseye.

fun...my shooting buddy has a S&W 15-22, has had it now for 3 years...he just put 30,000 rounds through it as of last Monday. we go out once a week and he shoots 500 rounds each week...accurate, relable...i still wish i had my standard MK-II Standard too...nuts... :(
