Things I picked up during my hiatus. 1897 Marlin, spurs, etc

A model 97 22 rifle.

A 1882 loan volcher of Charles Schreiner. A Texas Ranger in the 1850s, banker, store owner and started the famous enormous YO ranch near Mountain Home, Texas in the Hill Country.

Spurs made by Joe Nance who was also the Sheriff of Terrell County, Texas from 1918-1929. The Bandit Wars were a big problem at this time. Terrell county is located on the Mexican border near Big Bend. His son became a well known Texas Ranger.

A 1920s Stetson cowboy hat made for Charles P. Shipley & Co. of Kansas City. It is displayed with some alligator wrist cuffs and original Saddle advertisment from Shipley also.
