My mother called and told me they bought a new toy at a garage sale this morning so I drove over to look. Dad found a Marlin 336 30-30 carbine made in 1949 in fantastic shape for $250, someone must have bought it and just stuck it away for years, just cleaning it once in awhile. Now the kicker. It's in such nice shape except someone just had to take one of those nifty home electric engravers and put there Mn. ID number on the left side of the action. Someone needs a kick in the privates. Oh well it'll be a working gun anyhow, no room for safe queens around here.

One of My favorite Gun stores has a couple like that. It does help bring the price down, but at a Garage sale I can't see that being the reason for the rediculously low price.

Well I took it out and shot it a few times and found out the extractor is missing, I need to order a few things from Numrich anyhow.

What is a "Mn. ID number "?

I said Mn. ID number because I'm thinking not everyone has a drivers license, but as far as I know everyone in Minnesota has an ID card like a drivers license.
