Now that's something. I doubt I can live long enough to have 42 years with my wife.

Congrats to you and your wife. Although it seems many of us here (39 years here) have been married a long time. I wonder if levergunners just like keeping old famaliar things around? Oops, gotta duck. Just kidding the wifes at work and won't see this one. :mrgreen:

Like old guns you're comfortable with, so the same with the old lady. I just like the way she feels.

She's a tall one, but she's on a step. She's grown, but I'll leave it at that.

And yes, I have shrunk a bit.

Did 'ya ever wonder the real reason why some of us stay married so long. Is it love or the fact that its cheaper to keep the wife and not have to give up our true prized possessions-our Winchesters and Colts. :D :D ------------Sixgun

That's a good one, because I often buy a gun and realise, I better call it her's after the fact, so I can bring it in the house.
She has a few nice guns that I shoot now and then. The first one I bought for her is this one;

Congrats to all the "longtimers" here! I made 14 years the first time, 18 years the second time, and the girlfriend and I have 13 going now. Hope this one lasts til the end of my days.
Seems I can stifle most any relationship. As per example- a couple of days ago the GF comes out of the bedroom crying. When I asked her what was wrong she replied that she just looked in the mirror and saw this old womaqn staring back at her. This old woman had grey hair, tons of flab, and wrinkles everywhere! This old woman looked to be a total wreck. Then she asked me to find just anything that would make her feel better. I thought for a moment and replied, " honey, your eyesight is still excellent! :D
Don't know if I will survive to make 14 years! :shock: :lol:

Congratulations!
For us, we're just kids. Just gone 15 years. Interestingly, when we first got married, the wife went to town to do some name changing, as women have to, and took the marriage certificate. It rained that day and the ink ran on the bottom part of the certificate. So now you can't read the fine print. I have explained to her that I remember it clearly though; its about options on the contract. In the end I told her I would pick up her option for another 5 years, so she is good untill 2017 at least. She told me that there is a blurry line in there about 'any other duties as required', which I am a bit doubtful about. In fact I can't even find my own signature on the document the state it's in, so there is a certain level of faith and trust that we have to work with.

A hearty congratulations to you two! I love that old photo of you two when you were just young whipper-snappers. Today (July 12) is our 32nd wedding anniversary.
