As I'm new to this rifle, I'd like to hear some opinions on better sights for the 1886. I've done a search and am somewhat confused.
Thanks in advance

Re: Better sights for Browning 1886 full Oct.
Marbles makes a fantastic tang sight for this rifle. My 1886 Take Down wears one.

It had a Lyman #2 which wobbled and has no windage adjustment so it was removed and replaced with the Marble.
The other option is a "Ladder" sight on the barrel as my 1895 Marlin wears.

This sight was modified to now have elevation adjustment. You can read about this here

And if you are hunting with the rifle, there is nothing like the Williams Fire Sights:

Hope this helped
