A tribute
One of my best buddies at work lost his father in law, Col. Charlie Hastings, this past month. Col. Hastings was on the ground at the right hand of the commander in the famous Viet Nam battle of the Ia Drang valley, depicted in the movie "We Were Soldiers Then", and was probably the only Air Force guy on the ground in that battle. He is depicted in the film and offered technical assistance to the producers by request of the DOD.
At any rate, none of that matters now that he's graduated to Glory but his service was very nice and I was proud to attend in Tucson last week. This short film has some nice pictures and a missing man fly by and I have to tell you, the missing man gets to me every time.

It's a large file so you'll need to have high speed internet, but if you can wait for the download I suspect many of you would enjoy it.
Best,
Oly

I salute him for his service. I couldn't imagine being in a battle like that. I'd have a permanent stain on the inside of my legs.
