I never heard of this site until a friend of mine told me about a classified ad on here about a Whitney Kennedy. I had to look and see what he was referring to and then signed up. I have a bunch of levers and I like the older stuff. I have 2 Whitney Kennedys and lots of other stuff. I have hunted most big game in Montana and even Alaska with these old guns and continue to collect and shoot them.

By any chance are you THE Shrapnel, of MLV fame?
SHASTA
You actually read his stuff? I keep telling him he only has about 27 readers, you would make 28. There is another "Shrapnel" story coming in the near future...
Welcome to Leverguns. You are def. in the right place for your habit. Very nice collection you have there. Any good pics of the Whitney Kennedy? I see the one on the top of the bottom pic. I would love to see more.
I have always thought they were neat ever since I seen the pic and read the caption that Billy The Kid gave one to US Marshal Eugene Van Patten.
A big OL welcome from a Gun Nut plain and simple. That is a nice looking display. Do You sell Guns or just show them. I made some people mad last weekend. I took My P38 and 3 Bayonets- M1 Carbine-M1 Garand and one for an AR15. When asked How much I said they aren't for sale, They are just here for the Show part of Gun SHow. I finally put them away. I also ramble so take everything I say with a grain of Red Dot.
again Welcome- Perry
A hearty welcome to our campfire! You have a beautiful collection of classic lever guns.

Make that 30! I lived in Deer Lodge for a while. If I ever run into MLV I ain't sure if I'm gonna buy him a drink or kick him in the knee....that man has cost me a lot of money over the years, with him making all these leverguns sound so exotic and cool. Yeaqh I think I'l blame him for this....Tom

Ummm, is it just the lighting OR is the top left gun in your second picture in the original post a Burgess wrist slide rifle? I don't know what it's actually called but that's the best way I can describe it. What a fantastic group of rifles on display. Welcome to the forum.
... I love poetry, long walks on the beach, and poking dead things with a stick.

Wow, good eyes, I actually have both. I'm not confined to just leverguns, a few other oddballs attract my attention as well. The top gun is a Burgess wrist/slide action shotgun, the next one down is a really rare Burgess wrist/slide action rifle in 44-40 with 2 sets of barrels...
Here are a couple of Lightinings, one in 38-40, the other 44-40...
Fantastic display there, Shrapnel. Welcome to the forum: I'm seriously glad to have somebody else here who may occasionally do something that the regular folks wouldn't consider "prudent".
Also I make #33 (at least) for Mike, but I think Old Savage has him beat. Hey, I looked real hard there, OS, but I'm pretty sure I don't have any granddaughters in your picture
